Our client BAE Systems, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a specialism in NC/ CMM Programming, machining, fabrication to join their team on a contract basis in Warton near Preston. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, with a focus on precision manufacturing to support military and aerospace innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring high standards of quality and precision in machining operations
* Collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to address technical challenges
* Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to create accurate programs
* Carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipment
* Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations
* Documenting all machining processes and maintaining accurate records
* Providing technical support and training to junior machinists as required
* writing processes on manufacture of one off parts for an aerospace project
Job Requirements:
* Experience in NC/ CMM programming/ machining/ fabrication
* Strong background in precision machining and an understanding of manufacturing processes
* Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
* Proficiency in using industry-standard CAD/CAM software
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Effective communication and collaboration abilities
* Flexibility to work onsite four days a week, with the option to work from home on Fridays

* Contract Duration: 12 months
* Flexibility: Onsite for 4 days a week, Fridays at home
