The role
As a SHE Auditor, you'll be at the forefront of driving excellence in health, safety and environmental standards across our operations. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the safety culture of a business that plays a vital role in national defence and engineering innovation.
Day-to-day, you'll lead and deliver audits across a diverse and dynamic industrial environment-from submarines and surface craft to construction sites and infrastructure. Your work will directly support our certification to ISO45001 and ISO14001, helping us maintain the highest standards in SHE management.
* Leading and participating in scheduled and ad-hoc audits across our SHE Management System
* Reviewing documentation, processes, and operational tasks from planning to execution
* Producing professional audit reports with evidence-based findings and agreed actions
* Supporting stakeholders in developing and delivering improvement plans
* Collaborating with the wider SHE Assurance Team to ensure audits are targeted and impactful
This role is full time, hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the SHE Auditor
* Proven experience auditing or working with ISO45001 and ISO14001 certified SHE Management Systems
* Practical SHE knowledge applied in industrial or operational settings
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders across various mediums
Qualifications for the SHE Auditor
* Current Auditor qualification or working towards one
* NEBOSH National General Certificate or Environmental Management Certificate (or equivalent) - Advantageous
* Lead Auditor qualification - Desirable
* Membership of IOSH, IEMA or CQI - Desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
