Claims Handler - Office Based Role (Local Glasgow Applicants only)
Full‑time.
WNS Assistance delivers comprehensive, end‑to‑end claims management solutions to clients across the UK – from MGAs and blue chip insurers to fleets and broker businesses.
The role involves handling all enquiries, estimating claims, identifying recovery and fraud, negotiating settlements, and contributing to a supportive team culture. Must work in an office‑based or remote hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
* Promptly handle and resolve all enquiries from customers and external contacts.
* Establish timely reserves within authority limits by estimating claim values.
* Identify potential recovery and fraud claims.
* Maximise productivity within the team.
* Follow established claims‑handling procedures for low‑complexity, low‑exposure claims to ensure consistency and quality.
* Negotiate settlement of claims within authority limits.
* Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous call centre experience is essential.
* Previous property insurance experience is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
* Self‑motivated and able to work as part of an office‑based or remote team.
* Positive, enthusiastic approach to work and ability to maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Strong communication skills, able to utilise a variety of approaches to build rapport and resolve customer issues.
