We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leader in the power utilities and distribution sector, on a permanent basis. This hybrid role blends office and remote work and focuses on renewable projects, including solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), both operation & maintenance and new developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for power utilities and distribution projects.
* Administer contracts under NEC 3/4 and FIDIC frameworks.
* Manage contractor relationships and ensure compliance with contractual terms (T1, T2).
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets and financial reports.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Advising on contractual claims and negotiations.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver projects within budget.
* Monitor project progress and maintain financial control and reporting.
Job Requirements
* Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the power, utilities or civil engineering sectors.
* Proficiency in NEC 3/4 contract administration (FIDIC – desirable).
* Strong background working for a contractor (T1, T2).
* Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
