Maternity Services are provided across three sites offering four birthing environments: home, freestanding birth centre, alongside birth centre, and obstetric labour ward.
The Prince Charles Site Level 2 has undergone major refurbishment in 2019. Women receive care in our obstetric unit and a midwifery‑led alongside unit. We offer three birthing pools, a bereavement room, and a generally enhanced environment for both women and staff.
Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend is a Level 2 Maternity Unit. It offers low‑risk women the opportunity to labour and birth in our alongside midwifery‑led room, the Bluebell Suite and in the newly refurbished birthing pool room on the obstetric unit. Our obstetric services support women who require increased surveillance during labour.
Welsh skills desirable: Speaking and Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2).

Knowledge / Experience
* Ability to undertake perineal suturing
* Ability to undertake IV cannulation
* Previous experience in an obstetric unit
* Welsh language skills Speaking / Listening Level 3 or above
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Compensation: £40,559 to £48,841 a year, pro rata if part‑time.
