Job Advert Role Description
The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services. The hospital has residential facilities for 56 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a qualified Addictions Therapist to work within the Addictions Therapy Team. The main purpose of the role is to identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within a specific field of therapy, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of clients; liaising with families, carers and external agencies.
The post holder is expected to have experience of working in addictions treatment or the drug and alcohol field and is expected to hold registration with a professional body. Experience of 12-step philosophy is also essential. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate genuine commitment and enthusiasm for working with this client group, and the role holder will have a commitment to ongoing professional development.
The successful applicant must enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and to be flexible to the needs of a busy unit.
