Speech and Language Therapist - Autism/ADHD Assessor

You will join a passionate, multidisciplinary team specialising in high-quality, evidence-based autism and ADHD assessments, through both NHS-funded and private pathways.
This role will be within our Huddersfield Team and is a hybrid position. We offer part-time and full-time positions, with a minimum commitment of three days a week. As a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you will contribute to comprehensive assessments, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses that lead to appropriate support and improved outcomes for families.
Main duties of the job
You will conduct structured observations via digital platforms, carry out remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers, participate in multidisciplinary team diagnostic discussions, and deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families. You will produce detailed clinical reports, including diagnostic formulations, with support from our smart tools to enhance efficiency and consistency. Meeting service KPIs to ensure timely assessments and reports is also expected.

The role
Join our passionate team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessments for autism and ADHD. Responsibilities include conducting face-to-face structured observations, remote developmental history interviews via Zoom, participating in MDT diagnostic discussions, delivering feedback to families, producing clinical reports with AI-assisted tools, and meeting KPIs. In this hybrid role, some in-person assessments may be required.

Qualifications and experience
* At least 1 year of professional registration with HCPC, NMC, GMC, or Social Work England.
* Experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
* Knowledge of differential diagnosis and DSM-5 criteria for autism and ADHD.
* Trained in diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, etc.
* Strong time management and caseload organization skills.
* Excellent communication skills with children, young people, and families.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role is subject to a DBS check, in accordance with legal requirements.
Salary range: £30,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.
