An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrically biased, Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a multi-national company based around the Stanford Le Hope area of Essex
The Role
* Provide Electrical and Mechanical support to ensure performance of all automation machinery (i.e. retrieval systems, sortation equipment, conveyors, high bay cranes etc)
* Repairs to contacts, sensors, switches, relays, motors, gear boxes, chains, belts and much more.
* Interrogation and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems via laptop.
* Accurate and timely updating of the Maintenance Management system.
* Coordination of two Engineers within your team (daily activities / priorities…)
* Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance work to ensure all workloads have been completed within deadlines.
* Encouraging, supporting and managing active participation in continuous improvement activities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will preferably have:-
1. Completed an engineering apprenticeship/ HNC/HND/ONC or equivalent in electrical Engineering.
2. A high standard of electrical/ mechanical knowledge, ideally gained from an automated environment such as; Packaging, Food, FMCG, Logistics etc (Industry can be open though with consideration to transferable skills and knowledge).
3. Good knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs to interrogation level.
