Amersham Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated salaried GP (maternity cover) to join our dynamic, progressive, and supportive practice from February 2026. We are offering a flexible role with 4 sessions per week, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a thriving team.
About Us

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care in line with NHS guidelines and best practices.
* Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations, diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions.
* Prescribe medication and treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines.
* Manage long-term conditions and provide proactive, preventative healthcare.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare assistants.
* Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Support and mentor junior staff and trainees, if applicable.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using our practice IT system.
* Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and keep up to date with medical advancements.

Qualifications
Essential
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
* Experience working as a GP in a primary care setting.
* Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and autonomously.
Desirable
* Additional specialist interests (e.g. minor surgery, womens health, chronic disease management).
* Experience in leadership, teaching, or research.
* Knowledge of local healthcare systems and pathways.
