Our defence sector client is currently recruiting SC cleared Electronic Systems and Sensors Engineers for initial 6-month contracts. The contracts offer a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.
Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of all engineering aspects in the area of responsibility as defined in the assignment specification or objectives, including managing the acquisition safety aspects.
* Provide expert advice and guidance in your technical area to solve complex technical problems and identify application risks.
* Manage the technical requirements for the acquisition lifecycle stage of one or more projects, programmes, services, or systems.
* Monitor and implement governance and assurance policies and procedures to ensure the 'safe & professional' status of the area led.
* Lead the development of requirements related to your area of specialism, including acceptance plans, performance criteria, and draft specifications.
* Interface with industry as the intelligent customer, both in a scrutiny role and supporting the identification of application risks.
* Likely to hold Safety Responsibilities (SR).
Experience
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
* Member of a relevant Professional Engineering/Science Institute or equivalent body.
* Relevant Level 4 (or higher) qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience of providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful engineering outcomes.
* Wide-ranging technical experience in your specialism with knowledge and application of Systems Engineering approaches.
