About the Role
Part-Time 1.5 day per week (flexible/negotiable),
Fixed term till end of July 2026 with possibility of extension.
The South Yorkshire Institute of Technology (SYIoT), funded through a government-backed initiative to transform technical education, is seeking a proactive and collaborative Project Support Officer. Employed by DN Colleges Group, you will work closely with the SYIoT Executive Director to drive operational excellence and foster strong partnerships across the region. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of a high-profile initiative that brings together education providers and employers to deliver cutting-edge technical education and skills development.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Executive Director in delivering strategic and operational priorities. Build and maintain strong relationships with SYIoT partners, employers, and stakeholders. Represent SYIoT at regional events and meetings, acting as an ambassador for the brand. Coordinate and support the delivery of the operational plan across partner institutions. Promote the SYIoT to employers and support marketing and PR initiatives. Provide project management and administrative support, including diary and communications management.
What We’re Looking For
Essential: A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Experience in project management, supporting senior leaders, and partnership working. Strong communication, organisational, and influencing skills. A proactive, innovative, and results-driven approach. Ability to travel across the region.
Desirable: Experience in employer engagement and marketing. Background in education or training (FE/HE). Professional qualifications.
