The Account Manager will build long-lasting customer relationships and collaborate with our experienced sales and technical pre-sales team. The successful candidate will help us grow existing accounts, penetrate new market segments and leverage their network to deliver people, services and projects to our broad Energy customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Management of selected strategic or development accounts and ensuring sales targets for these accounts are met or exceeded.
2. Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers stakeholders and executive sponsors to achieve “Key Supplier” status.
3. Operate within the agreed Account Management process and governance framework.
4. Communicate the progress against key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Ownership and delivery of sales presentations, proposals and tenders.
6. Working with internal operational and finance teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services to customers.
7. Build an awareness of Sword’s capability across our global business.
8. Contract ownership and negotiations.

9. A demonstrable track record in an industry-related business account or sales management experience.
10. The ability to develop and execute complex sales and account development strategies.
11. A successful approach to developing new customer accounts
12. A proven track record of managing large and complex accounts, becoming a trusted advisor to your customers
13. An ability to work across multiple disciplines
14. Strong multi-level relationship builder.
15. A commercially focused mindset, articulate and possess the ability to think strategically.
16. A goal-oriented mindset and be target driven.
17. An understanding of the typical Contracts and procurement process.
18. Have excellent communication, interpersonal and time-management skills.
It would be advantageous to have:
19. Experience working within the Energy sector, selling services and consultancy in the UK and Europe.
20. Experience selling in the Digital Transformation space, including working with Data-centric customers engaging Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts to derive value and insight from their data assets.
