Engineering Manager (Belfast) Client VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a market leading FMCG company to recruit a Engineering Manager to join the expanding finance team. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers across all functional areas to improve overall equipment performance and to further develop existing preventative/planned maintenance and process control systems. The ability to manage significant capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects effectively is essential to the continued efficiency of the production unit. Responsibilities Manage and motivate direct reports to maintain high standards of work. Prioritise, plan, implement and coordinate activities against objectives Prepare and control departmental budgets and operate within the financial constraints of the Company Manage and apply all relevant and appropriate Company policies and procedures Appraise, develop and ascertain training requirements of the team Promote good working behaviour Utilise and apply the disciplinary procedures in line with Company policies as and when required Manage and promote continuous improvement policies and procedures Organise and plan meetings with team to meet Company and Operational requirements and standards Attend Senior Management meetings on items such as budget proposals and reviews; KPI reviews and targets; project proposals and capital investments; Health and Safety and environment committee meetings Manage and develop the maintenance departments policies and procedures including the implementation of Pillar Book standards. The Person Essential Graduate calibre i.e. has been operating at a senior level within an Engineering Manufacturing Environment Proven Management experience gained at a senior level Extensive knowledge of engineering, gained within a manufacturing environment Extensive knowledge of site utilities, services and infrastructure Well organised Self motivated Strong leadership skills Desirable Poultry processing industry experience Proven track record in innovation and driving continuous improvement initiatives Being part of Site Management Team Third level qualification preferred Knowledge of 150 55000 Remuneration The overall package will be tailored to attract the strongest candidate in the market.
