Accounts Payable Officer (9 month and 12 month contracts available)
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Accounts Payable Officer, based in Aberdeen. There are two positions available, one for 9 months and the other for 12 months.
Responsibilities:
* Process invoices against SO/POs in SAP.
* Input supplier work tickets into Neptune for non-enabled suppliers, checking invoice arithmetic, VAT, backup, and approval levels.
* Ensure invoice approval aligns with company process (DoA).
* Ensure tax validity and correct classification and booking of VAT according to national requirements and VAT reporting setup in SAP.
* Ensure payment of invoices in line with the company's payment process and contractual obligations.
* Follow-up on pending invoice approvals to ensure payment is made before the due date.
* Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor in reconciling the vendor ledger.
* Manage aging items.
* Support Supply Chain in resolving differences in GR/IR accounts.
* Support the Timewriting team to resolve invoice issues for processing Contractor invoices.
* Reconcile transactions and correct discrepancies.
* Provide management accounts with information to assist cash flow management, when required.
* Handle all supplier and business queries received via the AP email address promptly.
* Help manage the AP mailbox to ensure workload is evenly distributed across the team, with timely processing of invoices and queries.
Specific Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar financial role (preferred).
* Experience with SAP transactional methodology (preferred).
* Good communication skills.
* Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of general accounting tools (preferred).
* English language proficiency.
