Active Dundee is seeking various Lead Casual Coaches to deliver term-time programmes across Leisure and Culture Dundee facilities. We are recruiting Netball, Basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee coaches to deliver engaging sessions for participants from age 3 to adulthood.
Requirements
* Netball: Community Coaching Award (Level 2)
* Ultimate Frisbee: Level 2
* Basketball: Level 2 SVQ and/or NGB Level 2 Sports Coaching Award, depending on the sport applied for
Responsibilities
As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport section, you will lead the delivery of sports programmes (Ultimate Frisbee, Netball, and Basketball) for Leisure & Culture Dundee. Your role involves coaching individuals and groups, adhering to Scottish Governing Body (SGB) guidelines and specified coach-to-participant ratios where relevant.
The Individual
The successful candidate will have relevant practical sports coaching experience in Netball, Basketball, and/or Ultimate Frisbee, including work or voluntary experience with children and young people from diverse backgrounds. Experience in delivering inclusive, accessible, and engaging sessions for all abilities, including early years (age 3+), school-aged children, teenagers, and adults, is essential.
They will have proven skills in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate activities tailored to diverse groups, along with excellent organizational and time management skills. The candidate must be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are crucial, as well as the ability to motivate and act as a positive role model.
The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and membership of the PVG Scheme or willingness to join, with a satisfactory Scheme Record.
