<div><h3>Pharmacy Porter</h3><p>Go back Ashford & St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust</p><p><b>The closing date is 30 June 2026</b></p><p>The Pharmacy at St Peters Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and well organised individual to join our department as a Pharmacy Porter.</p><p>We are a busy Pharmacy department and your role will involve you supporting the Pharmacy team with an efficient, timely and safe delivery service of pharmacy goods to all areas of the hospital.</p><p>You will be working in a team alongside Pharmacy Assistants, Senior Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists. The core working hours are 08:30 to 18:30, Monday to Friday.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to be able to effectively work alongside staff of all grades throughout the Hospital. You will be hard working and keen to learn and have the ability to prioritise work.</p><h3>Main Duties of the Job</h3><p>The post holder will be able to organise own workload, while working under supervision, to ensure relevant tasks are prioritised according to the departments schedule of work.</p><p>To be responsible for the safe delivery of pharmacy goods to all areas of the Trust. This will include ward stock, bulk fluids, special feeds and controlled drugs.</p><p>You will carry out your duties supervised by qualified staff and contribute to the development of pharmacy services. You will promote the highest of standards of professional practice, whilst observing at all times the "statement on professional Conduct" issued by the GPhC.</p><p>You will be required to follow all legal and departmental practices including Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) as well as COSHH and lifting and handling regulations and all Trust Policies and Procedures.</p><h3>Job Responsibilities</h3><p>The successful applicant will have GCSEs in Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.</p><p>It is important to have the ability to communicate clearly as well as follow instructions and there is a need to be physically fit to undertake manual handling tasks.</p><p>The Pharmacy core opening hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30. To enable the department to provide the best service to our users the successful candidate will need to be able to work 37.5 hours a week, between 08:30 and 18:30 Monday to Friday.
