Town Farm Primary School and Nursery is a two-form entry Foundation school located in Stanwell, judged by Ofsted to be ‘OUTSTANDING’ in all areas in March 2025.
The Governors wish to appoint a highly organised Governance Professional (Clerk to the Governing Body) for Town Farm Primary School/Trust Secretary for the Every Trust. The duties of the role are to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher and Chair of Governors and to support efficient corporate, management and governance related support services within The Every Trust.
You will have excellent ICT, literacy and organisational skills, the ability to write accurate minutes and a willingness to commit to ongoing professional development.
The role will require a flexible working pattern and you will need to be available to attend full board meetings which are in the evening (usually 5-7 pm). As a minimum, the academic year commitment would be four full Governing Body meetings a year, three Teaching and Learning committee meetings, four Finance & Resources committee meetings and one Every Trust Annual General Meeting. Other than meetings, which are in person on the school site, you may work from home.
Ideally, this role would suit an experienced Governance Professional/Clerk, but we would also welcome applications from people with the appropriate transferable skills. In this case, a full training package will be made available.
Interested candidates are asked to download the attached Job Description and Person Specification. An application form will need to be completed, along with a formal letter of application, referenced back to the Person Specification.
