The school has access to more than twenty acres of attractive grounds, on the northern fringe of Tonbridge, Kent.
We are looking to recruit a Games Coach to teach Girls' games throughout the year groups. This is a sessional role, hours to be determined but likely to cover most afternoons from 1pm to 5pm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To teach Girls’ games throughout the year groups in accordance with the department’s schemes of work, programmes of study, and policies of best practice.
2. To be involved in school fixtures as a coach and/or referee at home and away venues.
3. To drive the school minibuses, as and when required.
4. To encourage and promote fair play and sporting conduct at all times.
5. To encourage and promote the girls’ interest in and enjoyment of games at all levels.
6. To attend regular departmental meetings, full staff meetings, and staff training sessions, when required.
7. To attend INSET courses as appropriate and necessary.
8. To carry out regular staff duties on a rota basis.
9. To play a full and active role in the pastoral, extracurricular, and social activities of the school.
10. To assist Games staff in delivering the Games curriculum to Years N – 8.
11. Assist the Head of Girls’ Games in organizing fixtures and managing teams.
12. Help coordinate match days in terms of ensuring players are where they should be and with the correct kit.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Experience –
* Experience of working in a similar role.
* Experience of working in a school environment would be desirable.
Skills –
* Good interpersonal skills.
* A clean driving license, preferably D1 or above.
* Evidence of being a strong team member.
* Enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
* An ability to work independently and as part of a team when required.
