What we're looking for While veterinary experience is a plus, it’s not essential. We value a positive, flexible attitude above all else and provide full training to help you succeed. The role You will primarily provide reception support at our Wantage surgery, with occasional shifts at our other locations in Abingdon, Didcot, and Wallingford. A reliable vehicle is essential, as travel between sites will be required. Key responsibilities include Managing front-of-house operations and greeting clients and their pets warmly and professionally Scheduling appointments, processing prescriptions, and assisting with medication dispensing Maintaining accurate patient records and preparing documentation for veterinary staff Supporting clinical staff as needed and ensuring cleanliness and stock levels in clinical and waiting areas Handling payments, daily banking, client inquiries, insurance paperwork, and placing orders in line with protocols Taking on sole charge duties when required and performing general administrative tasks Registering new clients and communicating our services with confidence About Us As part of Abivale (a division of Independent Vet Care), you’ll join a supportive and friendly team dedicated to animal welfare.
