The Role & Responsibilities Supporting the Head of Science, you will deliver a rich Biology curriculum in modern, university-standard laboratories equipped with the latest biotechnological tools.
* Scientific Instruction: Teaching Biology from KS3 to A-Level, including advanced practical laboratory work such as gel electrophoresis and microbial culturing.
* Environmental Leadership: Contributing to the school's "Sustainability Council" and managing the on-site wildlife garden or greenhouse projects.
* Pastoral Excellence: Acting as a Form Tutor and mentor, supporting the social and emotional development of a dedicated pupil group within the school's house system.
* University Guidance: Supporting students with their personal statements for Life Sciences, Medicine, and Veterinary Science applications.
Requirements
* Degree: A degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, or a related Life Science.
* QTS: Essential for this appointment.
* Right to Work: Valid right to work in the UK required.
Salary & Contract Details
* Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent)
