Your role as Audit and Accounts Manager
In your role as an Audit Semi Senior at Dains, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional service to our clients. You'll have the opportunity to work across various client groups and sectors throughout the East Midlands, gaining exposure to diverse service needs and honing your skills. From supervising the audit team to providing leadership and guidance to junior members, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of your projects.
Responsibilities
1. You will take ownership of the audit of a client reporting directly to the Manager, Director or Partners
2. You will prepare audit files to the required standard
3. Liaison with the Tax Department on any tax-related matters
4. Preparation of statutory and non-statutory accounts
5. Delegation of assignments and supervision of junior members of staff, followed by review of the work performed
6. Drafting of journals requiring you to understand fairly complex accounting principles
7. The completion of the assignment in accordance with the budget with any variations being promptly recorded
8. To provide ad-hoc support to other members of the audit department as required
