We are looking for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Assistant Psychologist to work within a newly established service, the Mental Health Treatment Requirement Service (MHTR), part of the broader Forensic Community Services across Lancashire and Cumbria.
This position will cover Cumbria.
Flexible working patterns are considered.
The role involves working with individuals convicted of offences linked to unmet psychological needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulations, and delivering low-level therapeutic interventions for issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and learning difficulties.
The post requires work evaluation and may involve various settings, including Magistrates and Crown Courts, health, social care, and probation premises within North Cumbria. Travel and domiciliary visits are expected, requiring flexibility.
Key duties include screening assessments, psychological testing, delivering supervised interventions, developing care frameworks, attending multidisciplinary meetings, and providing reports to partner agencies. Discharge planning for ongoing support is also part of the role.
