About the role
You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Asda Express Area Managers to deliver excellent service, colleague engagement, and operational excellence.
You will ensure your portfolio of stores is the top performer locally, evidenced through profitable growth and delivery of clearly defined KRAs, with commercial awareness of the local market. You will role model and champion the Asda values and Leading Asda behaviours, setting high expectations for the leadership team to follow. It will be your responsibility to implement and embed change initiatives and new ways of working, ensuring all stores operate in a safe, legal, and compliant manner according to company policies and procedures.
This field-based role requires regional mobility within a defined geographic area, with weekend cover on a rota.
About you
You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable, and lead change programmes effectively. Attention to detail and the ability to execute plans on first attempt are essential.
You need considerable knowledge of store operations, multi-site management, store processes, and policies, along with a commercial awareness of the local market, competition, and regional trends.
You will seek opportunities to improve performance while prioritising workload to ensure stores deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Strong communication skills, relationship-building, and influence are key.
