Acting on behalf of a leading independent global advisory firm, we are searching for a Vice President to join a high‑performing Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) M&A team in London. This is a key hire into a platform advising blue‑chip corporates and financial sponsors on complex, often cross‑border transactions.
The role
* Lead day‑to‑day execution of M&A and strategic advisory mandates (sell‑side, buy‑side, public and private, carve‑outs and strategic partnerships) for TMT clients.
* Own core workstreams on live deals: process management, valuation and modelling, preparation of marketing and process materials, due diligence coordination and transaction documentation.
* Act as the central point of contact for Associates and Analysts, providing direction, reviewing analyses and materials, and ensuring high‑quality output under demanding timelines.
* Work closely with senior bankers on origination, including idea generation, pitch preparation and development of long‑term client relationships across the TMT ecosystem.
* Build and maintain deep sector insight by tracking market trends, trading and transaction multiples, and contributing to internal knowledge and thought‑leadership.
* Collaborate across sector and product teams and an international network to bring the full capabilities of the platform to clients.
Candidate profile
* Strong investment banking or top‑tier advisory background with significant experience in M&A execution; prior TMT exposure is an advantage but not essential.
* Excellent technical foundations (valuation, financial modelling, process management and documentation), with rigorous attention to detail and high quality standards.
* Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, coordinate junior colleagues and drive processes forward with limited supervision.
* Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics succinctly to senior internal stakeholders and clients.
* Highly motivated, collaborative and intellectually curious, with a genuine interest in the TMT sector and in building a long‑term advisory career.
