We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join the bk plus team based in Helston.
As a Bookkeeper your role will include:
Monthly bookkeeping including bank and cash reconciliations, entering wages journals, calculating and posting prepayments and accruals.
Preparation of VAT returns for various clients including sole trade, partnerships and limited companies.
Running weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls including the submission of pension information to various pension providers
Preparation and submission of CIS returns
Preparation of management accounts for various clients on a quarterly basis
Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day accounting tasks
Communicating with clients via telephone and email when required
Assisting and training clients on use of a variety of accounting software.
The ideal candidate:
Excellent computing skills
Punctual with an organised and structured approach to work
Ability to adapt to new software and technology
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy environment
Experience with Microsoft Office necessary
Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Hammock and FreeAgent desirable.
