We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our exclusive venue.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and service standards, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
The General Manager of Wennington Hall will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, team management, and overall guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring smooth functioning during service hours
* Supervise and coordinate staff including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas to deliver excellent customer service
* Manage food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
* Lead the team in food production, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards
* Organise staff schedules, assign duties, and supervise team performance to optimise efficiency
* Maintain high levels of hospitality by ensuring guests receive attentive and professional service
* Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards across the venue, including kitchen areas and dining spaces
* Handle guest enquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
* Assist with training staff on food safety procedures, service protocols, and culinary techniques
* Collaborate with suppliers for stock management and inventory control
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
* Experience in restaurant or hotel settings with a focus on hospitality excellence
* Skilled in food production, serving, and culinary arts
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Good communication skills to liaise with staff and guests professionally
* Experience in managing kitchen operations or barista services is desirable
* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
