A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an EVENING X-RAY ASSISTANT at Poole Hospital, University Hospitals Dorset. We currently have a vacancy in our team of 3 evening X-ray assistants. The successful candidate would become part of the X-ray Evening Assistant team and rota, working 3 consecutive evenings a week pro rota between the hours 16:30 - 00:15. Duties are mainly based in the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Treatment Care (UTC) areas in X-ray, with some support in main X-ray as required.
The role involves supporting radiographers in patient imaging, providing patient care and assistance, and communicating with wards. Basic IT skills are essential.
Base Location: Poole Hospital

Main duties of the job
* Assist radiographers and be part of the X-ray team
* Change and prep patients as needed
* Transport trolley patients between areas
* Communicate and organize patients from wards
* Use radiology IT and portering systems
