About The Role
Job Description:
* Executing Applied Behaviour Analysis-Verbal Behaviour (ABA-VB) therapy in clients' homes.
* Setting up the environment conducive to therapy at the beginning of each session, and tidying it away afterward.
* Remaining compliant with Safeguarding Laws in the UK.
* Video documentation of sessions with strict adherence to agreements per client and/or educational institutions' stipulations.
* Debriefing children's parents at the end of each session, verbally and through written reports.
* Attending training and meetings with the program supervisor and company director as required.
* Consistent reporting on the learner's progress to the supervisor.
* Record and journal keeping.
* Data management, including video and written data, in compliance with UK-GDPR.
* Audio transcriptions if needed.
* Writing reports.
* Creating therapy tools/materials as needed, referencing the protocol criteria.
Applied Behaviour Analysis, particularly Verbal Behaviour (ABA-VB) popularized by Dr. James W. Partington, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is our method of choice.
Verbal Behaviour focuses on functional language, teaching learners how to communicate effectively. It emphasizes learning through fun and positive reinforcement.
ABA-VB can also teach Self-Help Skills, Social Skills, following instructions, and more, tailored to each learner's needs.
