The Opportunity

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to join its established Birmingham team.




This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value real estate disputes for a diverse client base that includes corporate occupiers, developers, public sector bodies, and governmental organisations. The team is known for delivering commercially focused, strategic advice and handling significant matters across a national platform.




You will play a key role in advising on a broad range of contentious property matters, working closely with colleagues across real estate, planning, and projects teams.


About the Team

The Property Litigation team advises on the full spectrum of commercial real estate disputes, acting for major corporate clients and public bodies across a range of sectors. The team combines strong technical expertise with a practical, solution-led approach, frequently handling complex and high-profile disputes.




The Birmingham office forms part of a wider national practice, offering access to major projects and cross-office collaboration while maintaining a strong regional presence.

* Managing a varied caseload of commercial property disputes, including landlord and tenant matters, lease renewals, dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture, and service charge disputes


\t

* Advising on development disputes, rights of light, restrictive covenants, easements, and boundary issues


\t

* Acting for public bodies and governmental organisations on property-related claims and strategic land issues


\t

* Handling matters through litigation, mediation, arbitration, and other forms of ADR


\t

* Providing strategic, risk-based advice to corporate and public sector clients


\t

* Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships


\t

* Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in property litigation


\t

* Strong technical expertise across a broad range of commercial real estate disputes


\t

* Experience acting for corporate clients and/or public sector bodies


\t

* Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills


\t

* Commercially minded with the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice


\t

* Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills


\t

* Organised, proactive, and capable of managing matters with appropriate autonomy


\t

* High-quality, complex property litigation work within a national platform


\t

* Exposure to major corporate and public sector clients


\t
