We are currently recruiting a buyer to join a well‑established manufacturing site in Eastbourne on an initial 12‑month temporary assignment. For the right candidates, there is the potential to move into a permanent role after six months. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive procurement team, contributing to day‑to‑day buying activities in a busy production environment.
The Role
As a Temporary Buyer, you will support procurement operations to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and delivered in line with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Raising and managing purchase orders
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and issue resolution
* Supporting cost, quality and delivery objectives
* Working closely with internal stakeholders to support production schedules
* Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier records
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role
* Available to work on a PAYE temporary basis
* Local to Eastbourne or within a one‑hour commute
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Working Hours & Location
37 hours per week
One day working from home per week
