I am partnering with a great organisation in Newcastle-under-Lyme who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team and look after all aspects of financial management for one of the business entities.
Your new role
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Managing all accounting operations, including nominal ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and cash management.
2. Supporting the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and reporting variances.
3. Preparing timely monthly financial statements in accordance with the group timetable.
4. Managing finance activities that provide analysis to help drive business decisions relative to improving service level, efficiency and customer service via streamlining processes and cost-savings projects.
5. Cashflow reporting
6. Leading the month-end and year-end close process ensuring timely reporting to the group.
7. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Managing andplying with statutory reporting requirements and tax filings with HMRC.
9. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Establishing seamless internal relationships with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure transparency of reporting for optimal business results
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant or finalist with proven experience in a similar role. You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and collaborate with a team, greatmunication skills and sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
