We're looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Housing Officer in the Lancashire region on a full-time, temporary contract for a minimum of 8 weeks on behalf of a housing association. This is a hour per week hybrid role, but will have a weekly requirement to travel the region so a driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Be an active presence within themunity, carrying out regular visits and neighbourhood inspections to identify issues and areas for improvement
2. Assisting with lettings, allocations, voids management, signups and viewings with new tenants, andpleting new tenancy visits, tenancy audits and reviews
3. Manage your own caseload of anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches including gathering evidence, witness statements and preparing legal paperwork
4. Support tenants at risk of tenancy failure and offering tenancy sustainment advice, signposting to external services where appropriate
5. Respond to general enquiries andplaints from customers, stakeholders and local MPs
What you'll need to succeed
6. Experience in a customer-facing, housing and tenancy management position with experience of managing your own cases of ASB & other tenancy breaches through to legal proceedings
7. A good understanding of housing legislation and best practice
8. A good understanding of welfare reform and benefits available including Universal Credit and PIP
9. Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
