Role: Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our clients suppliers.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers - Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)
* Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at our clients assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally.
* Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
* Assist with process improvements.
* Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.
* Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
* Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business
* Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.
* Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements
* Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances
* Product manufacturing development and improvement via regular in person presence at supplier sites
What You Bring
Required:
* Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
* Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
* Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
* Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
* Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
* Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
* Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
* Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
* Experience working with or at manufacturing facilities
* Experience working with critical parts. (Complex parts such as disc, shaft, complex assemblies)
Preferred:
* Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
* SAP experience.
Working requirements:
* In office presence - 3 days min per week
* No legal travel regulations
* Travel to suppliers up to 50%
