Overview
We are seeking an experienced, proactive Children’s Rights Manager to lead our advocacy and Independent Visitor (IV) services, supporting children in care, care‑experienced children and children in need. In this pivotal role you will lead a team of advocates and an Independent Visitor Coordinator, delivering high‑quality routine advocacy and Independent Visiting services for children and young people in the BCP area.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of advocates and an Independent Visitor Coordinator to deliver routine advocacy and Independent Visiting services.
* Advocate for children’s voices in decisions affecting their lives.
* Ensure the Independent Visitor service complies with statutory standards and best practice.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in children’s rights advocacy or a related field.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and statutory requirements.
* Will obtain an enhanced DBS check.
* Complete the compulsory training programme (Advocacy – Being a Voice, Safeguarding and Diversity).
* Identify and raise any potential conflicts of interest when initially contacting Coram Voice.
