Group Financial Accountant

Eaton Syalon are exclusively partnering with high growth manufacturing business based in Derby to add an Interim Group Financial Accountant to the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative finance team and work closely with senior leadership, owners, and banking partners, contributing to both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Monthly Consolidation of Group Results
* Support in preparing the Group Consolidation, including consolidating reporting packages from all Business Units and ensuring intercompany balances are treated appropriately.
* Review monthly reporting packages and perform analytical reviews against Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
* Assist with Group Consolidation journals and preparation of the Group Cashflow Statement, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Support in preparing the Group Management Accounts Pack for reporting to Senior Leadership, Owners, and Banking Syndicates.
* Partner with Site Finance Teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with Group procedures.
* Review monthly and quarterly site compliance checklists to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
* Work with Site Finance Teams on mapping to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
Year End
* Support the Group Team in gathering data and information for Statutory Accounts and Audit.
* Prepare Statutory Accounts for Group entities and review site Statutory Accounts.
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Assist with the consolidation of Group Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts.
* Prepare financial presentations with detailed analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
* Contribute to monthly Group Forecasts.
Financial Analysis
* Prepare Group Reports including Weekly Cash and Weekly Flash.
* Perform variance analysis of key Working Capital Metrics by site.
* Deliver monthly variance analysis, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reviews, and KPI insights to the Management Team.
* Provide analysis on Group Overheads, Exceptional Costs, Headcount, and Intercompany transactions.
Accounting Policies & Compliance
* Support in developing a strong corporate governance ethos and maintain the Group accounting policies manual.
* Implement tax policy and compliance across the Group.
* Keep abreast of relevant accounting standards and ensure clear communication across the Group.
* Provide technical support to site finance staff as needed.
Group Holding Companies
* Prepare monthly Trial Balances and work with the Group Team on monthly journals.
* Manage payments and prepare Cash Forecasts for Group holding companies.
