About the role
As a Laminator at the ALC, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing/maintaining marine composite structures for all classes of lifeboats. You will build new structures and undertake laminate repairs to existing hull structures and other components. Support roles in vessel strip down or deck fitout may be required, so a multi-skilled approach is desirable.
The ALC provides a clean, organized, and safe work environment, with all tools, materials, and PPE provided for your work.
About you
You must be able to work from engineering drawings and standardized work safely and efficiently. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure lifeboats are built and refitted on time and within budget, meeting RNLI’s quality standards.
Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, a time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent experience are essential.
Previous experience in boat production, marine refits, repairs, laminating, and working with epoxy composite materials is desirable.
Join us in building this centre of excellence and help save lives at sea!
