Mechanical Engineer Location: Andover Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Hours: Day Shift | 40 Hours per week Benefits: 22 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays About the Role Syntech Recruitment are partnered with a highly recognizable Electronics Manufacturer who are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Technologies team, supporting the design and development of components, tooling, and equipment for semiconductor packaging. You’ll take products from concept through to prototype and production, ensuring strong quality and engineering standards throughout. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and test equipment • Support feasibility studies and new product development • Work with project teams to support cost, quality, and lead-time proposals • Attend customer meetings onsite and at client locations • Take designs from concept to production using DFM/DFA principles • Support product testing, verification, and reporting • Promote continuous improvement and quality standards • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams About You • 5 years’ engineering experience (semiconductor or high-tech preferred) • HND minimum in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (degree desirable) • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred) • Good knowledge of engineering materials & manufacturing processes • Experience with DoE, problem solving and root cause analysis • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise workload Apply today to secure your interview slot.
