Electrician (Level 3) Location: HMP Springfield Pay Rate: £174.90 PAYE per hour / £225 LTD per hour About the Role: We are seeking a fully qualified Level 3 Electrician to join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Springfield. This is a critical role supporting the safe and effective operation of a secure custodial environment. The prison operates like a self-contained town, requiring a coordinated effort across multiple disciplines. As an Electrician, your work will directly impact the safety, security, and daily functioning of the establishment for staff, prisoners, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise disruption Support statutory compliance, testing, and inspection activities Work collaboratively with other trades (plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.) Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency issues when required Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used Essential skills and experience: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation / Electrotechnical Services (e.g. C&G 2367 / 2357 or equivalent) NVQ Level 3 and AM2 / AM2S competency assessment BS 7671:2018 certification Minimum 2 years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician Experience in commercial or industrial environments Strong understanding of planned and preventative maintenance Good working knowledge of Health & Safety practices Strong organisational and time management skills Apply Now Service Care Solutions is proud to assist in this recruitment campaign.
