About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task and continue their learning in line with set lesson plans. You will play a key role in maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment while supporting students across a variety of subjects. Responsibilities: Oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain focused and engaged. Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and deliver instructions clearly and confidently. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and expectations. Support students with their work and respond to general queries. Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour. Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe learning environment. Qualifications: Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. Confident, organised, and adaptable approach to work. A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.
