About The Role
The Safety & Security Team is committed to building a diverse team of professionals whose role is to create a safe and secure environment for students and staff, a place where everybody feels secure and welcome. You will be responsible for ensuring that our students, staff, and visitors are safe and have a positive experience whilst on our campus.
Responsibilities
* Interact daily with students and staff to manage a diverse variety of incidents.
* Use problem‑solving skills to respond to incidents promptly and effectively.
* Maintain safety and security of campus buildings and assets.
* Preserve confidentiality and prioritize tasks under pressure.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills and confident public presence.
* Previous experience working with students or young adults.
* Experience supporting people with mental health difficulties is beneficial.
* Strong interpersonal skills, calm under pressure, and ability to prioritize tasks.

Working Conditions & Legal
* Full‑time, permanent position based at Writtle.
* Role comes with a salary range of £26,707 to £30,378.
* Applicants will undergo Enhanced criminal records and Children’s Barred List checks via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
* Applicants applying from outside the UK are not eligible for Worker Route visa sponsorship. Applicants already in the UK must meet our minimum sponsorship threshold.
