A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join an established in-house legal team and handle a range of nationally significant work.
The role offers flexible working arrangements, with attendance at the office in the South East at least once a week.
Ideal candidates will have proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, especially contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with financial and legal obligations.
Experience in construction law and public procurement is advantageous but not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Advising on engineering and construction matters related to infrastructure projects.
2. Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts.
3. Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
4. Providing guidance on procurement regulations and policies.
5. Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
