Software and Electronics Engineer

We’re looking for a driven and talented Software & Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Accountabilities:
* Develop as one of the subject matter experts for our hybrid and electric propulsion systems.
* Drive product development across both software and hardware domains.
* Deliver engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the hybrid systems.
* Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, including fault diagnosis and resolution.
* Own the software control and management process for hybrid products.
* Support production and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Assist in developing and delivering training programmes for internal and external stakeholders.
* Travel occasionally for customer commissioning and on-site technical support (UK and overseas).
Professional Qualifications & Experience Sought:
* Degree in Electronics and Software Engineering (or equivalent).
* 3+ years in engineering or manufacturing (5+ years preferred).
* Proven experience in developing complex systems with both hardware and software components.
* Strong background in embedded software design and C++ programming.
* Familiarity with CAN bus systems and standards (e.g., NMEA 2000).
* Experience with low voltage systems (high voltage a plus).
* Customer-facing support and field service experience.
* Exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Team leadership or mentoring experience is a bonus.
* Marine or hybrid propulsion experience is advantageous.
Key Skills:
* Expertise in C++ programming.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Highly motivated, proactive, and deadline-driven.
* Knowledge of ISO9001, Health and Safety at Work Act, and Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma practices.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
