About the Role
TJD Trade Ltd is delivering a significant multi-million-pound property development project in Bedford, alongside managing an active local property portfolio.
We are seeking a capable, commercially minded and hands-on individual to work directly alongside the Managing Director.
This is not a traditional PA role and there is no diary management.
It is a varied, responsible position requiring strong Excel capability, commercial awareness and a willingness to contribute fully to both strategic work and the day-to-day running of a busy office.
You will share workload with the MD — from reviewing development budgets and analysing costs, to dealing with customer enquiries and operational matters.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable with numbers, problem-solving and picking up the phone.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Development Support
* Reviewing and analysing development budgets using Excel
* Monitoring project costs and identifying discrepancies
* Supporting cash flow and financial reviews
* Reviewing tenders, invoices and commercial documentation
* Liaising with contractors, consultants and professional advisers
* Preparing reports, summaries and structured updates
* Tracking actions and deadlines across projects
Day-to-Day Office & Operational Support
* Dealing with customer and tenant enquiries professionally
* Handling incoming calls and managing issues confidently
* Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy office
* Assisting with general administrative duties
* Coordinating with the internal team to resolve operational matters
* Being hands-on and contributing wherever needed
This is a role where no task is "beneath" anyone. We are a small, busy team and everyone contributes.

Remuneration
£32,000 – £55,000 depending on experience and capability.
