Overview
Key Stage 2 & 3 Teacher — Full time, MPS/UPS. Woodfield Academy joined the Bordesley MAT from Easter 2022. We work closely with Trinity High School, Birchensale Middle School and Holyoaks First School in a local MAT focusing on the development of children in Redditch. We aspire to improve the educational offer for the local community within a three‑tier system.
Woodfield Academy is at the heart of Redditch with extensive facilities including two science labs, a technology block, a library, a gym, a main hall, 2 ICT suites and a full-size Astro-turf. The role offers the chance to teach across a range of subjects in both KS2 and KS3 and to experience the full teaching spectrum.
Responsibilities
* Teach across a range of subjects in KS2 and KS3, with the potential to specialise as appropriate.
* Be prepared to train in the least specialised key stage, as required by the middle school system.
* Possess the ability to teach English, Science and Humanities; experience in other subjects is advantageous.
* Deliver lessons in partnership with specialist teachers for Music, Art, PE and DT as needed based on responsibilities in these subjects.
Qualifications
* Have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Ability to engage constructively with a wide range of pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
* Understanding of pupil management techniques and the relationship between teaching, engagement and behaviour.
* Be a highly successful classroom practitioner.
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements and their relationship with the wider curriculum.
