Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Customer Service & Warehouse Operative to join a small, well-established UK-based e-commerce business.
This role is ideal for a flexible, proactive individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences while helping to keep the warehouse efficient and well-organised.
Key Duties:
Customer Service Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries via email and live chat.
* Provide clear, friendly, and solution-focused support for order tracking, returns, and product information.
* Identify recurring customer issues and suggest improvements to streamline service.
* Work collaboratively with the team to continually improve the customer experience.
Warehouse Responsibilities:
* Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for timely shipping.
* Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Load and unload deliveries, ensuring products are handled with care.
* Use a warehouse management system (e.g., Veeqo) to track stock and manage inventory levels.
* Maintain an organised and tidy warehouse environment.
* Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
* Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
* Excellent written English, including grammar, tone, and clarity.
* Previous e-commerce customer support experience (Shopify experience is a plus).
* Prior warehouse experience with knowledge of order fulfilment processes.
* Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and tools.
* Highly reliable and punctual.
* Positive, calm attitude under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking goods.
* Mechanical or construction knowledge is a bonus.
* Flexibility to work within UK hours (8am-6pm) and overlap with core team schedule.
