Dothill Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational SENDCo to join our happy and thriving team.The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, dedicated, and creative teacher who has a passion for teaching and learning within special needs.Applicants will have to demonstrate that they have excellent classroom practice, the energy and commitment to make a difference, and a desire to ensure that all children reach their full potential. This position involves a class responsibility; year group will be negotiable based on experience. The SENDCo will have dedicated release time giving opportunities to support and mentor colleagues with best practice to support learners vulnerable to underachievement and/or with specific SEND challenges. The ideal candidate will be a qualified SENDCo and have experience of the role within a primary setting.
In recognition of the importance that we place on the role of SENDCo, we have planned our staffing structure so that it is an assistant head teacher that has the responsibility for leading SEND.
We are looking for an individual who is:
* able to demonstrate how they have led on whole school initiatives
* able to work alongside our experienced team of teachers, and develop them further in their SEND expertise
* a passionate advocate for our pupils with SEND and their families
* able to source and lead in house CPD for our team of experienced support staff
