HV Cable Jointer
on the Hinkley Point C Project.
About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
What you'll be doing
* To deliver the works required to enable satisfactory completion of the HV system.
* To provide expertise and support to the wider project to ensure the HV system and network can be energised and commissioned both satisfactorily, and safely.
* Provision of HV Cable Terminations
* Provision of HV Cable Jointing
* Support to HV Testing
* Provision of Remedial Works
Who we're looking for
* Technical Training as a HV Cable Jointer* and / or Industrial Electrician (If Electrician, proof of Upskilling shall be required
* Experience terminating up to 11kV cables
* Experience / Training with Nexans Cables & Accessories
* Experience with Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) Type Cable
* Ability to gain a security clearance
