Working closely with senior procurement colleagues, you’ll manage day‑to‑day purchasing activity, support stakeholders across the Trust, and help drive compliance, efficiency and cost savings – all while developing your skills within a supportive, forward‑thinking procurement team. Main duties of the job
* Ensure that the day‑to‑day processing of orders occurs in a timely fashion demonstrating value for money.
* Provide advice and support on placing requisitions. Ensure stakeholders have the knowledge in the use of the i‑proc system (Oracle) effectively and how invoice notifications work and what is required to resolve them.
* Support the Clinical and Non‑clinical teams in the provision of all procurement and contracting activities and to support the delivery of the departmental work plan.
* Support line management by reliably prioritising and managing own work.
* Support the organisation in obtaining best value in sourcing supplies and services.
* Support the Senior Procurement team in ensuring compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations, Standing Financial Instructions, rules, policies and procedures.
* Support the Clinical and Non‑clinical teams to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in the procurement processes.
* Flag any potential non‑contractual or non‑catalogue items that could be procured more efficiently via the catalogue spend to Senior Procurement Managers.
* Maintain the highest possible standard of integrity in all relationships with all internal customers, outside organisations and suppliers.

Experience
* Working in a health service environment.
Skills
* Organising own workload.
* Time Management.
* Communication skills (telephone, face to face and written) at all levels, internal and external to the Trust.
* Multi‑tasking and ability to work on own initiative.
* Customer Service Skills.
Knowledge
* Good working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook.
* Knowledge of basic procurement principles.
* Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality.
* Basic negotiation with suppliers.
* Knowledge of Public Procurement Legislation.
Qualifications
* GCSE pass in Maths and English* C or 4 above.
* NVQ level 3, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Foundation Stage*.
