Job Details Job Details Working as part of a team, to perform the routine testing using validated test methods in support of the R&D departments workload. Key responsibilities Job Responsibilities To perform testing based on established test methods. Testing of all materials/products according to the appropriate documentation and quality systems. To accurately record data and file information in accordance with AMS Good Laboratory Practices. To manage and monitor testing programs, ensuring they adhere to the protocols. To ensure that all inspection and test material and equipment are cleaned, handled and stored so that its accuracy and fitness for use are maintained. To ensure that materials, chemicals and equipment required for testing are always in stock. To perform inspecting, developing new test methods and perform testing of other materials and products as so required by the R&D Manager. To ensure activities are performed taking into account relevant AMS Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. To prepare reports of results and test activities. Occasionally train other staff. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties and provide laboratory support to other departments as assigned by the R&D Manager. Attend meetings if requested. Ensure a good level of communication between departments (QA, Technical, Engineering and Production). Keep training records up to date. Knowledge and Skills A general knowledge and understanding of projects work and adherence to deadlines. Knowledge and understanding of product development procedures and processes. Knowledge of GMP/ISO13485/EN4600/FDA quality systems is desirable Understanding of test procedures. Good communication skills and organisational skills. Graduate in a science of engineering discipline as a minimum. Attention to detail and analytically minded. Familiarity with PC Systems and appropriate software. Ability to analyse test results, compare against acceptance criteria and present a report.
