Job Title: Patient Care Assistant
Salary: £24,045 per annum
Location: Blacks, Dudley
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift pattern is 12pm-8pm Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work in the future with TOIL.
You will be responsible for preparing theatres for surgeries, cleaning and maintaining instruments, assisting with patient care and husbandry, running in-house lab tests, packaging biological samples, and supporting the smooth operation of the practice.
Additional duties include:
* Cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of patient accommodation.
* Maintaining hospital standards and following infection control procedures, including sterilising and deep cleaning.
* Assisting with reception duties such as answering calls, handling enquiries, booking procedures, and taking payments.
* Supporting Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, and other staff as needed.
* Communicating effectively with colleagues and clients, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, understanding, and empathy.
